Dear colleagues,
It is our pleasure to invite you to the MDH Multidisciplinary Seminar on Controlled Donation After Circulatory Death (cDCD).
📅 Date: 21st February 2026
⏰ Time: 09:30 – 14:00
📍 Venue: Central Auditorium, Mater Dei Hospital
Please find attached the preliminary programme for your perusal.
The introduction of a cDCD programme represents a pivotal step forward for our local transplantation services. We are hopeful that this initiative will lead to a significant increase in organ donation, thereby improving outcomes for patients awaiting transplantation. The success of such a programme relies on a coordinated multidisciplinary approach, with all involved professionals having a clear understanding of the ethical, scientific, and procedural principles underpinning cDCD.
The aim of this seminar is to enhance understanding of these principles and to instil confidence in each participant’s role within the programme. This seminar is intended for healthcare professionals who may come into contact with potential cDCD donors, therefore attendance is strongly encouraged.
Please register via the QR code on the attached poster or through the link below. We kindly encourage early registration, as places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
