President’s Corner
Dear Colleagues,
The year is drawing to a close, and I would like to send my warmest greetings to all fellow family physicians across Europe – to the members of WONCA Europe, our networks, special interest groups, and all the member organizations that make up WONCA Europe.
A remarkable year with many achievements and an impressive number of activities lies behind us. Our annual conference in Lisbon was undoubtedly one of the highlights, showcasing the strength, innovation, and unity of our community. At the same time, I am fully aware that many of you remain extremely busy, working with great dedication until the very last days before Christmas – attending project meetings and webinars, teaching, and caring for your patients in your practices. Your commitment is deeply appreciated.
Nevertheless, I hope there will also be room for a well-deserved break, allowing each of us to recharge and enjoy meaningful moments with our loved ones. We will need to start the coming year with renewed energy, as the challenges in Europe are unlikely to diminish. My particular thoughts go to those who are affected by aggression, conflict, or instability. May the year ahead bring more peace, understanding, and solidarity.
On behalf of WONCA Europe and its Executive Board, I wish you a year filled with personal fulfilment, serenity, and professional inspiration. Let us continue to channel our collective energy into advancing family medicine, strengthening our networks, and enhancing the well-being and health of our patients and their families. Together, we can build on the strong foundations of this year and work toward an even brighter future for primary care in Europe.
| Warm regards,
Thomas Frese |
