President’s Corner
Dear Colleagues,
Europe will host this year’s WONCA World Conference in Lisbon this September. Uniquely and differently from the past, the hosts are the Portuguese Association and WONCA Europe (WE) in collaboration. The entire WE EB, along with representatives from the Portuguese Association and other members from Europe and around the globe, are working on the organizational and scientific aspects of the conference.
On behalf of WONCA Europe, I’m the co-chair of the organizing committee, while the former president of WONCA Europe, Mehmet Ungan, co-chairs the scientific committee alongside other representatives from the Portuguese Association and WE. We have opened the registration for the conference and the website for submitting abstracts. We encourage our European colleagues to actively participate by submitting abstracts, engaging in the scientific review process, and serving as session chairs.
Moreover, we remain actively involved in numerous European projects under the EU, WHO, and other European scientific bodies.
Finally, we will soon announce a call for elections to the new EB and WE statutory committees, and we invite you to join us.
