Call for Interest: Join Our Team as a General Practitioner
Are you a dedicated and experienced General Practitioner ready to make a difference in patient care? We are looking for compassionate professionals to provide exceptional medical services across the island of Malta.
General Practitioner Responsibilities:
- Examine patients in their own private residence, within 6 hours from the initial report
- Able to diagnose common illnesses and prescribe treatment accordingly
- Address patients’ health-related queries
- Suggest appropriate referrals if necessary
- Able to administer medication topically, orally, and via intravenous or intramuscular injections
- If required, collect fluid, tissue samples, and send to laboratories for further testing
- Refer patients to other specialists for further testing and treatment, if needed
- For each visit, issue a Medical Certificate which covers the recommended sick leave
- When required, submit claims on behalf of patients who have health insurance
- Anticipate and respond to patients’ wellness-related questions and concerns
- Able to cover the whole Island of Malta with own transport
- Number of employees covered: 15-20
General Practitioner Requirements:
- Successful completion of the Specialist Training Programme in Family Medicine (STPFM).
- Member of the Malta College of Family Doctors.
- Proven experience as a General Practitioner
- Adherence to health and ethical codes, including when under duress
