We are pleased to announce that Serdar Oztora from Turkey has been officially appointed as the new EUROPREV representative on the WONCA Europe Executive, following the resignation of John Brodersen due to increased professional commitments. Serdar will serve in this capacity on behalf of EUROPREV for this term on the Executive Board. You can learn more about Serdar in his biography below.

Biography
Serdar Oztora is graduated from Istanbul University Cerrahpasa School of Medicine in 1997. He became a Family Medicine Specialist in 2005. He is appointed as Assistant Professor in Family Medicine in 2009, Associate Professor in 2012 and Full Professor in 2018. He also has a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Management (2020). He is currently studying at Anadolu University Web Design and Coding Department. Between 2016 and 2024, he served as the Secretary General of the Turkish Association of Family Physicians Specialization (TAHUD) and as the Managing Editor and Member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Family Medicine of Turkey. He is the Turkish Representative of European Network for Prevention and Health Promotion in Family Medicine and General Practice (EUROPREV) since 2017 and Coordinating Group Member since 2023. Since 2012, he has been the Managing Editor and Member of the Editorial Board of the Eurasian Journal of Family Medicine (EJFM). Serdar Öztora is married with a son. He is currently working as a faculty member at Trakya University Faculty of Medicine Department of Family Medicine and as an Executive Board Member in WONCA Europe.
