On behalf of the Commissioner for Older Persons, I am writing to extend a formal invitation for the seminar titled

“Transforming Care for Older Adults in Malta”

Which will be held on 11^th  September 2024 (venue still to be confirmed).    

The seminar is aimed at engaging NGOs, civil society organizations to reflect on the current state of ageing and care for older people in Malta.

The core aims of the seminar are to:

• Engage with NGOs, civil society, and clinical leaders to reflect on the current state of ageing and care for older people in Malta.
• Explore opportunities to enhance the quality and coordination of care, enable earlier intervention, and provide more integrated support in the community.
• Share emerging experiences of innovative practices across the health and care system.
• Identify priorities for future innovation and workforce development.

Additionally, we are honoured to have Prof. Anne Hendry, Senior Associate at the International Foundation for Integrated Care (IFIC) and Director of IFIC Scotland, as our guest speaker.
