Questionaire: ‘Knowledge of autism amongst GPs and GP trainees and self-reported confidence in working with autistic patients’

Dear Colleague

My name is Sarah Magro, I am a foundation doctor in year 1 currently doing my Q2 Rotation in Psychiatry. I am part of an audit that is being done by a group of doctors conducting research entitled ‘Knowledge of autism amongst GPs and GP trainees and self-reported confidence in working with autistic patients’ being supervised by Prof Anton Grech. The aim of the study is to evaluate GP and GP trainees’ knowledge on autism and their confidence in working with autistic patients. This research is in conformity with the ethical standards set by the University of Malta Faculty of Medicine and Surgery Ethics Committee.

We hope that through the results obtained in this study we can identify any areas of knowledge as well as areas of concerns highlighted by GPs and GP trainees. We also wish to work collaboratively with General Practitioners on a lecture or informal talk involving Autistic patients in the future.
The questionnaire should take between 5 to 10 minutes to complete.
We welcome any comments or feedback.
We look forward to continue working collaboratively for the betterment of our patients and their healthcare.
The following is the link to be used to fill in the questionnaire: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1HUMX2QouexRNuTH1xrDYM7E-s3x_SN6-Tf9PP5qWIco/edit
Many thanks and Regards
Sarah
