Gedeon Richter, in collaboration with the Malta College of Family Doctors, cordially invites you to a scientific presentation on ESTETROL – a novel estrogen now incorporated in a new combined oral contraceptive pill targeted at women of reproductive age (16 – 50 years) requiring fertility control and therapeutic contraception.

Estetrol (E₄) is a natural human estrogen produced during pregnancy in the fetal liver with a unique mechanism of action that displays tissue-selective activity and behaves as a natural selective estrogen receptor modulator which does not stimulate breast tissue and is metabolically, endocrinologically, and haemostatically neutral.

Professor Mark Brincat (Obstetrician & Gynaecologist) shall discuss the role of Estetrol in oral contraception in his presentation entitled – Estetrol (E4) – The New Player in the Game, on Thursday, 26th October 2023 at the Malta Marriott Hotel.
