Dr. Frederick Frost from The University of Liverpool, will discuss:

  • How CFTR modulators impact lung microbiology – for people living with cystic fibrosis
  • The future of diagnosis and management of CF lung infection
  • Dramatic reductions in acute antibiotic usage with CFTR modulators
  • New approaches to diagnosis and treating infections

 

Prof. Najib M. Rahman from the University of Oxford will be talking about “Pleural infection state of the art”, with an emphasis on:

 

  • Molecular diagnostics
  • Bacterial niche
  • Surgery and intrapleural enzyme therapy
  • Translational understanding of the mechanism of disease progression
