As we approach World Family Doctor Day 2024, with the theme “Healthy Planet, Healthy People,” we at WONCA are organizing a virtual press conference for journalists and media, to help amplify our message ahead of May 19th.
There will be two press conferences of 25 minutes, designed to accommodate busy journalists in different time zones around the world.
We are reaching out to kindly request your assistance in disseminating this invitation to your press contacts, media organizations, and journalists in your region.
This event will feature prominent speakers such as 2022 Tyler Prize Winner Prof Sir Andy Haines, WONCA President-elect Viviana Martinez-Bianchi MD, and other key figures in the field of family medicine and environmental health.
It is no easy task to get the media’s attention when talking about the health of the planet and climate change. However, we are making it as easy as possible for busy journalists to cover our campaign by covering all time zones and providing insights, quotes, and stories from an excellent panel of expert communicators in the area of planetary health and family medicine.
