NTRODUCTION OF NEW SERVICE FOR SUSPECTED HEPATO-PANCREATO BILIARY CANCER IN THE FAST TRACK REFERRAL PLATFORM

Dear General Practitioner/ Family Doctor,

A new service for the referral of suspected Hepato-Pancreato Biliary Cancers has been introduced on the Fast Track Electronic Referral Platform.(sample attached)

You may refer any such patients through the Upper GI Cancers online ticket found on the Digital Health Electronic Referral. Hence whenever using this referral you are kindly requested to indicate specific site from the options subjoined.

Full History/Comments field is being made mandatory so as to facilitate prioritisation of SOP/OGD/CT appointments for the referred patients. The clinical teams involved will do their utmost to provide these services within the shortest possible timeframes depending on the provision of accurate clinical information.

This Electronic Referral https://fasttrack.digitalhealth.gov.mt/ can be found in myHealth/  or https://health.gov.mt/services/, in the section of useful links for Doctors  (Cancer Fast-Track System). For GPs within Primary Health a desktop shortcut is also available to facilitate access.
