How could we have a bigger impact in Europe? How could we influence the European Union policies?

The European Union (EU) is a political and economic partnership that represents a unique form of cooperation among sovereign countries. The EU currently consists of 27 member states, including most of the countries of Central and Eastern Europe. However, primary care (PC) has a minor role in European Health policies. If we want PC to be considered a relevant area in the medical care of European citizens (EU and EAA), we should improve our strategy to approach the European institutions at both levels, from our national organizations and at a regional level (WONCA Europe).

In this workshop, we will explain the strategy that WONCA Europe is following currently and we will offer a series of proposals to improve the role of family medicine in Europe.
