Good Afternoon,
paths is happy to announce the fourth and final talk from a series of TherapyTalk webinars for 2022. This talk, led by Clinical Psychologist Vernandi Dyzel addresses the topic of Attachment and Boundaries from a therapeutic perspective.
Healthy boundaries are the communicated expectations and needs in relationships that ensure both parties feel safe and comfortable. Boundaries clarify acceptable and safe behaviours and the parameters within the relationship to ensure that everyone’s needs are met. Additionally, boundaries safeguard against acting beyond physical, emotional and cognitive capacities. Insecure-attached individuals often have too rigid or porous boundaries, resulting in various needs not being met in the relationship. Even though people have a ‘blueprint’ from which they understand the world and relationships, it is possible to change this ‘blueprint’ by learning healthy boundaries.
The talk will take place on Tuesday 22nd November from 6pm-8pm, through an online platform (link to be shared closer to the date). This webinar is aimed at the general public as well as professionals who wish to learn more about this topic.
Attendance is free of charge and interested participants are kindly asked to register in the form below by Friday 18th November: https://forms.gle/M4uVAnXj9wLGAqYp6
